My bathroom fans are loud and old (and I don't think they work very good) so I've been wanting to replace them. But when I got the fan cover off, I started having trouble getting the actual fan unit out of the wall. Here's some photos of the fan. The first is of the entire unit, the second is a close up showing the metal clip that seems to be holding the fan in place.http://ift.tt/2uDQuqk metal clip is attached to the stud, and seems to be the only thing holding the fan in place. I can pivot it around that clip maybe an inch or two forward, but that's all.Does anyone have any experience removing (or installing) a wall fan like this? Finding someway to either get that clip off the wall or separate it from the fan seems like the way to go, but I've had no luck with that so far. I'm about ready to go in there with a saw and just cut apart the plastic and take it out in chunks. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2uE7Gfq
