I am 25 and work full time. I have no debt, have over $40,000 of available credit, and $20,000 saved in my 401k and Roth. I recently took an overseas trip to Italy and France and I honestly look back and don't think it was worth the amount of money I spent on it. Everyone's reaction to hearing about my trip is "That must have been awesome!" while mine is "It cost a lot of money." Now I'm in a position where I feel like I should stop going out to eat and doing much of anything as long as it costs money. A few of my friends want to go on a road trip for a long weekend this fall and I am probably not going so I can save money.
I'm planning on this recent trip being my last international trip. They just cost too much money and I'd rather have money than memories that I'll probably lose when I get older
