Hi, I don't want to disclose too much and keep things general so others may find this post helpful to their situation as well.

Situation: I am in my mid-20s, college educated.

I currently have a very enjoyable job but I am having a hard time making ends meet. I love every aspect about my job except the location and the pay.

With the current salary I have, I am only able to save $200-$300/month (after student loans, rent, car, 401k, food...etc...)

With my current work experience, I know I can get a job that pays me enough to save $1000/month at least. However, the work I have in mind is not as enjoyable and more monotonous. (I know this because I was offered this monotonous job last year but I turned it down for my current job.)

My internal debate

Most people say mid-20s should be aiming for jobs that will give them more experience and that they should worry less about the salary. However, it's very hard to live by saving so little every month. I am debating if I should just suck it up and get a job that pays more but is less enjoyable. Any advice? Thanks!
