5 years ago, I fell from a 5th story window for no one knows why. Long story short: I apparently woke up, walked out of my room, opened a window, and fell. Roommate says I'd been asleep for 4-5 hours, never slept walked before or since. Many theories but that's not the point of this.

To the point: because of my family needing me to help pay bills, I have run up one credit card to just over $10,000 and have two others equaling ~$6,000. I'm currently a law clerk at a law firm and have a salary of $26,000/year. I have yet to pass the Bar exam and therefore am pretty lucky to be working at a law firm - they usually don't hire people who can't earn them money all by themselves. So, I can't leave the firm because when I do pass the Bar exam, it'll look great on my resume that after law school, I worked for a law firm (currently 2 years since I graduated). Soo, I have a shitty job and need to study to pass the Bar exam (they give it in Feb. next) so I can't get a second full time job or part time job that takes a bunch of time.

Personal loan companies seem to be declining me loans (SoFi, Lending Club) despite sending me letters with personal invitations. I'll make a point to call and talk to make sure that they're reading the right things. My credit score is close to 700 because I do my pay bills on time and everything. Just the whole credit card debt (~$16,000) plus student debt (~$112,000) must look bad.

Hence here I am - asking for advice and guidance. Please and thank you!

Edit: whole reason I said the falling to almost-death thing is because it left me with brain damage and a left arm handicap, among other unnoticeable injuries. My brain damage caused me to get shitty grades in school (couldn't remember what i'd read) and fail the Bar exam four times. Thing is, I've gone from 20 points away from passing to 8 points away and so will try and try again because damnit, I almost died in law school to get where I am. This is why I'm a law clerk and not yet an attorney - accident caused Bar exam failure has slowed my career progression and is why I have a low paying job that I kind of need to keep.
