The tiles are 12×12 square, going onto firring strips in the 29×16 Kitchen/living room of a 100+ year old farmhouse. I'm a widow doing it myself. The guy who was putting it up did 4 - 16 foot rows, he didn't line up the tile and it looks bad. I stopped him, was going to take the rest of the tile back to Lowe's and forget this project, but the more I look at it, the better I like how it looks in here.
