Earlier this year, I fell behind on my payments and the company sent me a letter to inform me if I didn't pay off my entire balance within 14 days it would be sent to a collections agency. I was able to pay it off in that time frame, but now I'm getting daily calls from a collections agency telling me to call them back. They were calling both my parents at home and their places of work, even though I haven't lived with them in a couple years. I finally called the number back and they wanted personal info to ensure I was who I said I was and I refused, but they said it's fine and they have the information anyway. They told me i need to set up a plan to pay off the debt that i owe even though it is paid in full to the original company. Not sure what my options are, but I verified I was paid in full with the original company. I would like them to stop calling both me and my parents, because at this point it almost feels like harassment.
