I hope this topic fits here. But I'm wanting to move out of my parents house. I'm 20 years old and I currently work a min wage job in oregon ($10.25 an hour) working 40 hours a week, so I take home about $1,216 a month after taxes. I know I won't be able to afford an apartment on my own so I'm wondering if I found a roommate, how much is a good amount for me to be paying for rent and still be able to afford food and other necessities?
