I'm wondering, as someone pretty new to this whole area of finance, or finance in general I should say, if what I'm working on lately could be of benefit to anyone. I'm sure a real stock index which is established already has many more features than mine, but what I've done so far is take a look at Goldman Sach's (GS symbol not the other corporations they have with similar names) "institutional holdings", and have made a CSV with DTN.IQfeed of their top-500 equities owned, symbol by symbol manually entered. Of course this is bound to change, as they buy and sell a decent number every day.. about 140/120 bought/sold or something like that. Anyway I'll provide the CSV file link here if that's OK, and also a link to a chart showing the closing prices of their top holdings by sheer number of shares, last close.
