I live in a new home where the builder roughed in plumbing for a 3pc basement bathroom. I'm having trouble figuring out what to do with the bathtub, though. Here is a diagram showing the roughed in plumbing dimensions:http://ift.tt/2sh84PI center of the shower drain to the studs in the exterior wall is 60" exactly. The pink lines represented where my walls should probably go. When I was developing my plans initially I thought this space was for a 60" prefab acrylic tub. (I have no way of knowing for sure why the builder roughed in the plumbing at these particular locations). But now that I see that the center of the drain itself is 60" from the wall, that seems to not be the case. One option I am considering is using a 60x32 tub, and to do so I would have to build out the exterior wall by an inch or two to make sure the tub drain assembly fits properly over the roughed in drain pipe.Is that a good plan, or is there something I am missing here? I would very much like to avoid digging up the concrete to relocate the drain pipe. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tzWuDp
