I just quit my job after 4 years. The company is a huge company with over 5,000 employees in the state of California. Typical proceedure if you put in your two weeks notice is to be paid out in cash at the end of your final shift. HR calculates your hours worked for the week, plus unused vacation time, sick pay and emails a pdf to the manager at the location, he pulls the money out of the safe and you sign that you got it and on your way. This didn’t happen with me when I quit on July 2 even though I gave 2 weeks notice. I inquired and they said it would be direct deposited with my regular pay cycle the following friday, 6 days later. No sweat, I am not hurting for money.

The following week roles around, just got paid for hours worked, no unused vacation pay or sick pay. I contacted the store and they said they'd look into it. Next week rolls around, No pay. I contact manager, she yells at me and tells me it isn't in, she'll let me know and to stop bothering her. I inform her that it is sent via email when they terminate me. I inform her I am now expecting 'wait pay' for the time I have waited for my check. She says nothing has come in and hangs up.

Yesterday I went into the jobsite and spoke with the manager. She sent an email to HR. Within 2 hours, a pdf check was emailed, I was called to come in and get my money. I asked the amount and it was just for unused vacation and sick pay, no wait time pay of 3 weeks I was expecting and asked for. If I go in and get my money without the wait time pay, will I relinquish my claim to it or is that still owed to me? Also who do I contact now?
