Relatively new to this sub as i realise my spending and impulse purchases are toxic for my future, I came across the sentence in my title through some form of social media (I'm not taking credit for it). But I have to say, it has helped SO much with my "oh it's on SALE! I HAVE to buy it!" mentality.
I never looked at sales in that way, but since I've started it's opened my eyes to the fact that even though something is on "sale" the company selling are still making a decent profit on the purchase, I'm not getting a super great bargain (most times) as I had of thought.
