If you live or spend time in warm environments like myself sandals are crucial for being comfy, less wear on your socks, less weight in your luggage. I have been truly impressed with a Teva model that is getting harder to find: "Barracuda". Not only very hard wearing (daily use for years, even skateboarding) but also ultralight, non-stink, supremely comfortable and meant for use in water as well. Eventually the sole does wear. Once i had some sandals with a vibram sole, if the Barracuda's had those i could see them lasting 10+ years. Have heard great things about Chacos but they are very heavy and i find the really high/chunky arch part of the sole both ugly and not so comfortable. Any other recommendations or personal experiences?
