Hi all,
So I got a company anniversary gift and I'm looking to buy a computer briefcase that meets certain (admittedly tough) conditions:
"Non negotiable"
- Lifetime warranty/satisfaction
- Avoid corporate drone look
- 2 handles (i.e. 1 handle on each side of the briefcase)
- Slim(ish)
- ~$150 ($200 would already exceed)
Preferred
- Leather (full or in parts, but willing to "exchange" for great fabric/canvas)
I travel frequently, so any pro-travel feature is welcome
I'm currently looking at
- LL Bean's Sportsman (maybe too preppy, but fine with the model) http://ift.tt/2t11KAx
- LL Bean Heritage Waxed Canvas (would love leather pads to protect and luggage pass-through) http://ift.tt/2tJWVbJ
- Tom Bihn Cadet (a bit too corp drone look, but considering the non-traditional colors I'm ok) http://ift.tt/2tF5bvc
Additional notes
- Would love to have a Briggs & Riley option but they scream Corp drone.
- Already have a timbuk2 backpack and a messenger bag, I like their warranty, not necessarily their service.
- I love LL Bean, I know their warranty and service are stellar.
- I really like Tom Bihn's founder model (style and functionality) but too expensive
So, what do BIFL'ers recommend?
- LL Bean, Tom Bihn or is there any other option?
- And is Tom Bihn's service/warranty as good as LL Bean's?
*edit: added questions/clarifications
