Hey /r/DIY!I've been weekend renovating my house for the better part of a year now and I'm so close to the finish line that I can actually hear my couch whispering my name longingly. My last project is to tile the backsplash in our kitchen. I've laid tiles before, so I figured this would be a piece of cake.Wrong.The tiles we got are these. They are small, 3/16" thick porcelain tiles glued to a mesh sheet.I immediately ran into issues when I started to cut these bad boys. I have a tile saw from another project, but it's rather small and the table on it doesn't even fit half of the mesh sheet of tiles, so it was very clumsy trying to cut them. This is the tile saw I have.Long story short, the edges came out terrible and there is no way I'm putting them on my wall. So, I searched and searched on YouTube/Google and couldn't really find a solid answer to my question:What is the best way to cut these sheets?I'm considering renting a larger wet saw with a track and slidable tray that can fit a full sheet, but will that do the trick? Is there some secret society behind cut porcelain closely guarding the tricks of the trade that make cutting these tiles possible? Will I ever sit on my couch again? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2v9Bwse
