Hello folks. I've never done this before.. I live in a century home with plaster and wood lathe walls.I know when I remodeled my kitchen the plaster had wood lath but also a wire mesh that looked like what I call chicken wire (wire around a chicken coop.. I grew up on a farm)I plan to mount 2 Televisions 55" each stacked one above the other on the wall in my living room.I am assuming that the combination of plaster, metal wire and wood lathe is confusing my stud finder.... As it's finding studs 3" apart or none at all depending where I run the stud finder over my walls.A magnet just sticks pretty consistently to the wall...Any suggestions on how I can confidently find studs?I'm about ready to hire someone and I still think I can solve this myself...
