I've just recently turned 20, and I live on my own. My parents (divorced) have an agreement that my dad continues to pay child support for me until I am no longer a student.

I saw him for the first time in a year yesterday and he casually mentioned that he pays my mom $1,050/mo that should be going to me. The only part of that I see is the tiny portion of my rent that he helps with and the occasional transfer of money when I need gas and haven't gotten paid yet. Other than that I am self sufficient but barely scraping by (full time student and part time worker, paying for textbooks, just moved, etc)

I had no idea I was supposed to be getting this, and when I brought it up to my mom she got super angry, crying, accusing my dad of turning me against her even though I wasn't accusatory while bringing it up, making excuses, telling me the money was going towards every day things (paying of surgeries, my brother's loans [not part of the agreement] ) but not giving me exact numbers. I let it go because I don't like being in the middle of these things and she definitely deserves to be in r/raisedbynarcissists the way she is when she's upset about anything.

I have always been very meticulous about my money, budgeting exact amounts since high school and I get the feeling that both my mom and dad are lying to me a little. I feel like I should be seeing more of that money, since I don't live with her and haven't in a few years.

Is there anything I can do to get that money put into my name? Or even just to know exactly where it's going?
