We had booked a 3 star hotel through hotwire at Seatac and we got Courtyard Marriott. Upon reaching the hotel, the front desk staff assigned a room with 1 king size bed. When we told him, that there were 4 of us, he said 'it's not his problem' and that's what he can provide for the 'rate we paid'.
We requested him to upgrade us to a 2 queen bed room, and said that we willing to pay the difference. He said he couldn't do it and we had to make a new reservation. He checked the availability and said that 2 queen bed room was available. We also asked for a roll away bed and said we would pay for it, and he refused saying that it wouldn't fit in the room.
Ultimately, my friend and I had to sleep on the floor. I read now that hotwire assures you a bed and not any type of room. Is that correct? If so, what are my options now? Should I contact Hotwire or Marriott?
What other booking sites would you suggest where I can select the type of the room and still get a good deal?
