Laminate wood flooring suggests in documentation "Observe 3/8" maximum Clearance between wall and first row" and suggests 5/16 to 3/8" around fixed objects. Using spacers, I have noticed some places are closer to 1/4" and some are closer to 3/8". How important is 3/8" vs 1/4"?

Honestly, I am not going to go back and change the ones that might be closer to 1/4"..but I still have 3/4 of the floor to finish and want to make sure I am doing it right..but if typically 1/4" is perfectly fine and 3/8" is 'best suggestion" that will help.
