I've been with a technology company for a year now and finally feeling as though I have job security, I began the process of purchasing a home. Every three to four months, I've been moved around to fit different needs of the company. Today, my boss dropped a bomb on me and told me they'd be moving me again and if I fail to meet the expectations for this position, they're not sure where else to put me. Up until now, I was under the impression that I was fulfilling all of their expectations for each role I was placed in. I have no formal degree within the computer science field nor bootcamp certification and taught myself everything that I know now. Although I am not out of a job as of yet, I am absolutely terrified that I will be strong armed out of this position as well and will be left with a house, unable to pay the bills. I have a toddler as well, which makes the situation even more precarious. I'm at a loss. I need advice, Reddit.
