I am a student, and am trying to go as cheap as possible while still keeping a healthy diet.
I have a coffee for breakfast, oatmeal with a banana for lunch, and my dinner this week consists of one pack of noodles (with soy sauce and flavour included), chopped/boiled carrots, and soaked/boiled chick peas, topped with one fried egg.
The dinner is my main area of concern. I am considering swapping the noodles out for brown rice (yay fibre), but the flavour would be far less. Each day is costing me ~$3.50NZD at the moment, so I am saving a lot of money.
Am I getting enough vitamins for a healthy study-brain, protein, fats etc? Should I add some greens, or another fruit (maybe for breakfast)? Any and all advice most welcome. I don't want my food budget going over $30NZD a week.
