Recently got a new job with a hefty increase in income, of course banks see this and start offering increased credit limits, or offers for different types of cards (with annual fees). My question is, when it comes to cash back or rewards programs (travel miles, etc.), does it ever pay to have a credit card with an annual fee? Cash back is a little easier to calculate for how much you need to spend to make it worth your while, but for something like travel miles or other points, does an inflection point even exist for cards like that? Curious to know PF's opinion. For reference, I'm in Canada if that changes the outcome of the response.
