Throwaway because my SO is super active on Reddit.
I have been with my bf for about 3.5 years and I started living with my bf just three months ago.
Since we lived together he is demanding me to pay for his expenses because he wants to buy a house that we will live in the future. He is actively saving his ass off to buy a house.
Since I am taking care of his expenses, I feel like I am living paycheck to paycheck and I need some advice on where to trim my budget.
Here is the list of my budget.
Grocery(Mine): 100 ( I am vegan, so I dont spend money that much)
Grocery (BF): 250 ( my bf eats a lot)
Utility: 200 -I pay it all
Internet: 80
My phone: 10
My bf phone: 50
My car insurance: 100
My Car maintenance and gas: 100
My bf car insurance: 150
My bf car maintenance and gas: 100
My bf car payment: 220 (car value:25k and 10k left to pay off)
My bf credit card payment: 150 (3.5k in debt)
My health insurance: (employer pays half) 150
My bf health insurance: (employer pays all)
My bf student loan: 260 (18k left)
my student loan: already paid off
Rent: 600 -I pay it all of them
Miscellaneous: 50 (soap, shampoo etc)
My 401k: 100
My bf 401k: 100
My bf entertainment: 150
my entertainment: none
My expenses in total: 2900~3000 per month
I have 20k in an emergency fund also 5k in 401k and I have no debt.
I earn right around 3000 and 3100 per month after taxes and I am living paycheck to paycheck. Where should I start trimming my cost and get rid of some stress here?
Thank you
