I'm putting a flat plywood lid over a storage compartment to form a desk. I want it to be able to open more than 90 degrees so that the lid can lean on the wall behind the desk to stay open. So my plan is to have the back 3-4 inches of the lid be fixed and the front section of the lid to be hinged. Here is a picture of how I understand the hinge can work:http://ift.tt/2tfQH6M issue is that for this to function as a desk, I can't have that raised/visible hinge protruding through the top. Is there a hidden method of achieving this? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2unGtAW
