My family wants to build an earthbag home (who wouldn't like to live debt free?).

I have a question though. There's four of us, both couples want about 500sq ft each.

So we'll have 4 adults building a total of 1000sq ft. (I know our house will be a circle, if that makes a difference.)

How long would it take 4 people building to put up walls and the roof? We are a little concerned about time. But if we could start living in it a little earlier, it would help.

I've seen a formula where it'd take about .8hrs per square foot for one person. So it would take one person 800hrs for 1,000sq ft. Is this for calculating the roof and walls, or getting the entire project done? Does this formula sound right to you?

We would be renting a sand bagger and possibly hiring someone to do the roof.

I'm mostly looking for people that have EXPERIENCE with this type of building and what results you had. (I've been looking at a lot of books, websites, articles, etc so I bet if anyone shares a link, I've probably seen it lol)
