For a South Asian moving out of the home for the first time and going abroad to USA to study for the first time, can anyone help with advice on eating frugally yet healthily as a university student?
I am a Bengali and I will obviously be eating Bengali meals mainly. My goal is to eat healthily at the least possible cost. I will be cooking all my meals at home except for going to the McDonald's for a dollar menu 1-2 a week.
How do I:
1) Calculate a monthly budget for groceries: This is important since I don't know what will be the exact monthly budget needed in a new place, given my diet.
2) Know what groceries to buy and at what intervals: That is what are all the items I should buy and keep in my stock and at what interval should I go to the grocery store and replenish my stock.
3) Meal planning: Simple meal planning that saves time and hassle.
