Longtime lurker, first time poster. I just want to say thank you for every inspiring post on how to save money.
My husband and I are currently living paycheck to paycheck, but by living with a strict budget (and actually sticking to it) we have accumulated a pretty awesome emergency fund. I looked over our budget for August and found some wiggle room to pay my credit cards early with a little extra. In a year I've paid off two credit cards and my husband has paid off one. Neither of us have touched those cards again (they were store specific cards) and I couldn't be prouder of us. We still have a long way to go to being debt free, but it's an incredible feeling to see the savings build and the debt disappear.
I would like to shoutout the person who posted about Prime Day and how I don't need it. I was dangerously close to transferring money from savings just to buy something when I opened Reddit to consider my purchase and saw the post. I closed out of everything and feel a weird sense of accomplishment.
