So, my ex wife and I bought what was called a small cottage and completely renovated it. The biggest tips I could suggest are;Don't plumb in a second sink once you have already poured concrete.Choose your 'Farrow and Ball' colour and then get it made in Dulux. If you have an old door and dip it because of the paint build up. Take some time and use a scraper to remove it, it will take some patience but will be worth it in the long run. When Victorian/Edwardian doors are dipped it destroys the wood glue causing some serious structural issues.Make a plan and stick to it (even if your wife wants a second sink).Don't stress, just take it easy.P.S. The house/cottage we had was actually a semi, it was attached to a larger house which was owned by the a great guy. His brother was the dude from 'Crystal Maze', not the bald one!.http://ift.tt/2uMBR7h via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tAhv1u
