Hello friends. I have a question or three.
I am 54 y/o F. I am not college educated, but have done ok in life financially.
I have approx 1.4 M in assets and am not a high maintenance person.
I think I could live on $48k a year very comfortably. I own my own business which generates about $36k/year and have dividend income of $24/k a year for the next 6-7 years from a prior business.
My current business is not salable as I am the business.
I have worked since I was 17 y/o and I am tired. :(
(My thought was to continue to work another 5.5 years and then retire.)
My work is extremely physical; and to be honest I am not sure I can do it much longer.
I have no dependants and no debt.
At this point, is retirement doable without compromising my lifestyle?
I want to travel while I have my health.
