As you probably know, Todd Combs and Ted Weschler have joined Berkshire Hathaway a few years ago and they now manage around 10 billions each of Berkshire's money. Ted Weschler has close to 25% of his 10B stake in DaVita (DVA) which is a company that provides provides kidney dialysis services for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure or end stage renal disease.
Weschler says he's been studying the dialysis industry for more than 30 years. The simple fact that he has 25% of his stake in this company is very interesting to know for us investors. (Plus, his paycheck depends on the percentage points he'll beat the S&P500 benchmark over a 3 year period so the guy clearly wants to beat the market.)
Is there anyone here that knows a bit about that business and could tell us if it's a good buy for the long term right now?
