I was looking at a campaign on startengine and figured I'd do what I normally do and see if internet strangers on reddit can explain why it's a bad idea and will fail, but there doesn't seem to have been any discussions so far. I'm curious if the risk (How great of a movie can you make with 5 months and 200 to 900k even if it's all shot at one location) just too high? Are we likely to see more revenue sharing crowd sourced things like movies, video games and music, or is this model inherently flawed in some way?
