This is an updated post, We are driving to Oakland for a wedding (7/15) from NYC. We really want to see Crazy Horse Memorial and Mount Rushmore on the drive. But I am trying to figure out the most Frugal option. We are going to be Car Camping and doing an average of 500 miles per day. Current Plan Leave NYC 7/7 Reach Crazy Horse 7/10 Oakland 7/14 And we don't have to be back in NYC until 8/8 so is wide open after that.
