So my grandma is currently on my Sprint plan, using an Alcatel flip phone that works ok but texts at a snails pace. We were discussing the possibility of her getting a Trac fone instead. She has been paying me $40 a month towards my bill for years and doesn't use data.
How exactly does Trac fone work, and what sort of texting/calling could she do for 40-50 a month? Do they have flip phones available that don't suck? Her old Verizon LG flip was great but unfortunately it did not transfer to sprint. She may be open to a basic smartphone but is worried about accidentally using too much data and running out of minutes.
