No, I'm not a shill. lol...I have and love my Google Fi, and I'm sticking with it.

Low cost phone plans are a regular discussion around here. So I came across this today:

Sprint doesn't have great coverage in my area, so I won't be jumping on this bandwagon.

The catches: (1) You have to provide your own, Sprint-compatible, unlocked phone. (2) You still have to pay taxes on the "free" phone service. (2) After a year, the same plan becomes $60 per month. (3) If you don't enroll in auto-pay, there are some extra fees. ($5 per month discount for being on auto-pay for instance.) (4) Sign up period looks like it's only until the end of June. EDIT: (5) You might have to pay for a SIM card at the beginning too.

So you may end up paying a little less than ten bucks a month for this without autopay, and including the taxes and stuff. But that's still pretty stupidly cheap, especially if you don't mind autopay.

Thoughts? Anybody biting on this?
