My GF was employed for just over a year at her last job and hated the toxic environment (politics and harassment etc), so she interviewed somewhere and was offered a new job. When she gave her old job two weeks' notice (as is customary in the US), they fired her on the spot.
She started her new job today (two weeks later), but today is the 12th of the month and her rent was due on the first. She was contacted today by her Apt MGMT saying if she didn't have rent by the 15th, they would evict her. So she has 2 days to come up with her rent ($1000.)
She has no savings, no loans available, no parental help, and her renters' insurance said they couldn't help because giving two weeks' notice is the same as quitting, even though her job fired her.
What financial options are available to her?
