Hey guys, I work for a small company and I am in a salaried position. I've been in this position for 7 months now. This week I received a text from my boss asking for the hours I've worked in this pay period, and I told her I was salaried and it should resemble 80 hours for the two weeks. She freaked out and told me to count them up and give them to her ASAP, so I did so and gave her the 62 hours I worked in the period. I just received my check and it is for the 62 hours I worked, not the normal amount I receive.

I don't think this is legal, what can I do about this? Does she have the power to suddenly switch me like that?

Edit: Since a lot of people are questioning why I only worked 62 hours, it's because it's the nature of my work. We're a small pesticide company, sometimes we have big orders that come in and I'm working 70+ hours a week on producing things. Sometimes, we don't get many orders and I work less than 40 hours. We agreed on a set salary in order to compensate for those differences and I have it in a contract.
