As described in the title, my aunt has decided to buy a more reliable used car for me. I have never purchased a car, or been on my own auto insurance plan. The plan is to take a train to her, and drive the car back. I believe she will leave the vehicle transfer incomplete, and the title will be transferred to me when I arrive.
What will I need to plan for as far as taxes and registration in another state?
Is there a better place to ask this question?
Will I need to own the vehicle before I can purchase an insurance policy?
