My husband and I have both joint and separate bank accounts. We have our joint checking where all of our bills are paid from and that we both contribute the same amount every paycheck. We have our joint saving where we also contribute the same amount every check. And we have our joint credit account that we used for our wedding and is now our travel card.
Our separate accounts are just that--he has his own personal checking, saving, and credit, and I have mine.
We had been using Mint for a while, but it's making it difficult to separate the accounts since I want to use it just for my own personal expenses. It's constantly saying I am over spending on things, but those things are always coming out of our joint accounts.
Is there a better app out there that I can use for my personal budgeting? The account that is making it difficult is the joint checking since it was an account of mine that we converted to a joint, but Mint won't let me get rid of it. I've hidden it but it still shows all the transactions and yells at me :(
