Hey, Reddit.I need some help.I am making a bar top in the style of a railroad track for a restaurant. I have all the wood, metal, screws, etc. to build the track itself. As I was putting this together, it dawned on me that I have no idea how I'm going to do the epoxy on this.It needs to be a smooth surface on top per the health department, so epoxy is a must. But if I use a form, I'm risking breaking that epoxy. Would I just make a form box out of melamine wood, use a release agent on the inside of it and then remove the finished bar top from that?My second, and more important question... how do I mount the bar top? Can I drill holes in dried epoxy and use screws? Do I need to just have a piece of wood at the bottom and sacrifice the effect? Is there some kind of wizardry that I'm not aware of?Thanks! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2rXmHL0
