I've been waiting for this day for the past year-- I finally hit my goal of saving up 10k for my emergency fund!!!! I honestly can't thank reddit PF enough. I've learned SO much from everyone on here. I grew up SUPER low income and didn't learn a lot from my family about PF growing up.
I've come a long way since graduating from grad school last May with $800 to my name. Saving up 10k wasn't easy-- it actually required me to get a second job-- but it has been so worth it. My whole mindset around PF has totally changed. Now I just have to figure out what my next goal is :) I'm thinking possibly saving up 1-2k for my checking and then aggressively paying off my car (10.5k left at 4.29%).
