We have a utility pole in our playground area that attracts a lot of birds that like to defecate often. We're a preschool so it's unsanitary to wait for the rain to wash it out. Our current solution is to cover up the area under the pole and remove the cover during play, like so. It's slightly annoying because we have to wash the tarp and pin it down every time. We're currently looking at some light green outdoor carpeting so it doesn't look so unappealing. Any better ideas? PSE&G said they would remove the pole but I'm looking for a solution for the mean time. We can't put anything on it (bird spikes, bird glue, etc.) because it is not our pole and PSE&G doesn't want to send a crew out to install it. Let me know if you guys have any solutions, thanks!P.S. If anybody knows a good cover for that partition, please let me know. We couldn't cover it with artificial grass because it bends too much and outdoor carpeting doesn't last very long. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2tpFFuB
