Yesterday, when I was pulling out of my driveway in the morning for work, a group of three teenage boys were walking nearby. One of them called out sarcastically "Hey man, nice car!" And they laughed. I drive a 2012 Toyota Prius.
Instead of being offended, it actually made me happy. I had thought a few weeks back of buying a muscle car, but decided against it, since it wasn't necessary and got about 1/2 the gas mileage I currently get.
I realized that spending all that money on a car that I wasn't even going to be able to drive past 75 mph and couldn't race was a total waste. And now I realize the only people who care about the decision I made are common senseless teenagers.
