Might not matter so much in the States, but Canada has some of the most overpriced cell contracts in the world, so it helps here.
By getting to the last month of my 2 year contract without taking the the "hardware upgrade" ( and consequent re signing of my contract), I have been able to squeeze perks out of Bell by shopping the other providers.
