http://ift.tt/2t6HyMM I want to put a TV bracket on a wall right above an electrical outlet, it's a stud wall (not brick), property was built 9 years ago. I am concerned in case I drill through any Power cables in the wall.The screws that come with the bracket appear to be around 1.5" long. I've considered buying a cheap stud finder but seems most only detect a inch into the surface.Are there any UK regulation regarding routing of electrical cables in walls? - I looked but could not find any but I don't really know what to look for.I'll likely turn off the electrics prior to me drilling just in case, I am being overly concerned? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2t6dcdu
