Due to divorce, I am homeless without a dime to my name and I'm about to come into $2,400 from a clinical trial. I already know that's it's completely legitimate.
I'm not on any drugs or alcohol (I wouldn't have qualified if I were), but my credit is about as low as it can possibly be due to a series of bad financial decisions I made in my early 20's. I can't search for a permanent job until the trial is over because it requires a 9 day stay at a research facility starting on the 15th.
I was thinking that I would get my bank account back in good standing, reinstate my drivers license, and buy a cheap car so I have more options for work, but I'm not totally certain about what my best course of action is. Any advice is appreciated, I'm really not sure what the wisest choice is with this money.
