I just wanted to brag a little bit, full disclosure. It's been hard work and I'm proud of the progress we (my wife and I) have made so far.
Since December of 2016 we've made a gain of $11k+ in net worth. That's a combination of asset growth (though not much) and huge pay down of debt. We're still very much in the red with my student loans but making progress quickly.
Neither of us make much money. It's taken a lot of commitment, delayed gratification, and a shit ton of tough conversations. If anyone out there is struggling, find your path out and take it with both feet. All fours if you have to.
