I'm looking to move out on my own soon (after I buy a car). I've been on my own before but it's always been very hand-to-mouth due to minimum wage jobs and ongoing health problems - which are still there but better under control. I at least have a somewhat better job now, full time and I make $14/hr with benefits rather than $9/hr no benefits. I'd like to do this properly and being financially prudent rather than going back to being hand-to-mouth.
