We can all agree Amazon has turned the retail world on its head and has been siphoning profits from the brick and mortar stores for years now. From a very limited research session it appears retail is very cyclical and many stores like JC Penny, Macys, Walmart, Target, ETC. have gone through huge ups and downs in the past. Many of these store have very profitable brands I.E Sephora, which may not keep them in business forever, all we have do is look at sears and the craftsman brand. Hedging all bets on retail may not be the best move as we are likely to see many closings and liquidations in the coming years but I think we will see a large upswing in the Retail market in the next 2-3 years. I am a firm believer that consumers will revert back to wanting to feel and test products before they are purchased especially in clothing lines. Just wanted to gauge the community and see if anyone agreed or disagreed with this sentiment.
