I know you shouldn't skimp on mattresses or bedding etc but I really don't have a large budget ($700-800 for everything) and wondering if there are any high quality cheaper products/brands that I could look for. Currently have an old wooden bed with a rock hard spring mattress and it's really causing me problems (as well as the bed actually falling apart and the sheets, pillows, blanket all old and ruined. If it helps I'm looking for a softer mattress and live up north so nick thick covers are essential!
