Hi BIFL! I'm expecting my second baby this fall. I'm looking for a BIFL bag I can use to tote around all of those baby essentials you need. With two kids, a baby and a toddler, I'll need something roomy with organization. I want something that isn't marketed as only a diaper bag so I can continue using it after the kids get bigger (making it more BIFL).
Bags I like: The Saddleback large tote, but after the price jump it's just too expensive. I currently use the Saddleback satchel purse, and judging from its weight, the large tote would be just way too heavy to use when looking after two small kids.
I'm also very interested in the Patagonia lightweight travel courier, but at 15L looks just a little too small and lacking pockets.
These are two very different bags! I'm open in terms of style, but interior pockets/compartments and shoulder/over shoulder carry is preferred. No backpacks. Under $250 would be great.
I used a photographer's bag for my last baby, but the leather was too grain and wore off in less than a year. Also, some old cheese got left in it and it had to be trashed, so it's gone. I don't remember the brand but I would not buy it again.
