My SO and I want to get married, however we are both about to enter professional schools and because of that we are being supported by our parents. My parents will be paying my tuition, rent, and all other living expenses until I am finished with school and have told me not to get married yet so that they can claim me as a qualifying dependent. Is there anyway I can get married officially still continue to be claimed by father until my schooling is done? For reference I am 25 turning 26 in October.
Edit: Thanks again for all of your help guys. I made this post so that I could get a good starting point in forming an argument for my parents. I'll continue watching this to see if there are any other helpful answers. As for the sex joke, well...nothing I say will make anyone believe me so I can't respond.
